COCKTAIL GRAPEFRUIT – COCKTAILS

| During the February 28th URCA Radio Show, we spoke with the Old Town Temecula Farmers Market’s Gale Cunningham, who said “cocktail grapefruit” is in season. Here is a description of the citrus fruit from Melissa’s.The juice from a cocktail grapefruit makes for a refreshing addition to just about any citrus-based drinks. Here’s one we found recently from a blog we love by Susan Russo of San Diego. It’s for a blood orange martini… but the cocktail grapefruit can be easily substituted: |
Blood Orange (substitute Cocktail Grapefruit) Vodkatini
Makes 1

- 3 ounces vodka, preferably Ketle One
- 1 ounce Grand Marnier
- 1 1/2 ounces fresh blood orange juice1.
Add ingredients and ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake under your fingers feel frozen. Strain into a chilled martini glass.
